Not into John Wayne (except I liked a couple of later ones, the Searchers was good and the Shootist was okay). I quite enjoyed Appaloosa. I don't think the directing was really strong, but it was only Ed's second movie to direct so I think there is some potential. I think anyone who is a fan of the modern western (or oater...ha) would like Appaloosa as well. I’m a big fan of the western genre, especially the post-”fistful of dollars” western.
